Council Seeks Feedback Regarding Proposed Off Highway Vehicle Bylaw

Village Council looking at a draft Bylaw governing quads, side-by-sides and dirt bikes

Council passed 1st reading of proposed Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Bylaw No. 456-14 at the Wednesday October 15, 2014 Council meeting.  The proposed Bylaw could allow certain types of off highway vehicles to be used within Village boundaries with restrictions.  Some restrictions could include:  speed limit, minimum operator age, helmet use, time of day restrictions or insurance and registration requirements and may include other restrictions.  

Any resident wishing to offer an opinion regarding the proposed Bylaw can submit comments to Village Council by one of the following methods:

or you can drop off written comments in person, during regular office hours, at the Village Office – 229 4th Avenue.

The proposed Bylaw will be back on the Council agenda on Wednesday, Novemeber 5, 2104 at 7:00 p.m.  Council meetings are held at the Stirling Community Centre each first and third Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
