THANK YOU to all Settler Days Volunteers

Beautiful Summer Weather Helped Make the 2017 Settler Days Weekend a Success

Temperatures in the 30’s over the weekend made for excellent weather at the annual summer celebration.  All events were well attended from the kick off Thursday at the Michelsen Farmstead with “Music on the Veranda” right to the Family Dance and Fireworks show on Saturday night.

The Saturday parade showcased Alvin and Shirley Mertz as the honorary parade marshals.  The Silver Saddle Club brought back the mini chucks and had a great turn out for all their events down at the rodeo grounds.   The pool hosted fun games, activities throughout the day and the kids carnival featured events under the new Chautauqua tents.  The hot dog eating contest saw a new winner this year.  Even a little shower on Saturday evening didn’t stop the beef on a bun dinner from feeding over 350 people.   The family dance filled the street with hundreds of people celebrating.  The event ended with one of the best fireworks shows yet.  Thanks to all the volunteers who made the 2017 Settler Days another very memorable weekend.

The Stirling Recreation Committee Thanks all Volunteers

The Village of Stirling and the Recreation Committee thanks all volunteers who helped put on the annual Settler Days weekend.  A weekend full of events requires countless hours of volunteers time to take place and Stirling continues to have many people step forward.  So once again THANK YOU Settler Days Volunteers.
