The new LUB went through 3 Public Hearings and multiple revisions before being passed and put into effect on August 2.  Some of the changes include:

  • solar collector systems being defined and added as a discretionary use in most districts
  • addition of Garden suites and Secondary suites
  • revision of site coverage standards for accessory building
  • increasing driveway width standards
  • updates to the easement standard for setback requirements
  • clarifications and updates to administrative requirements and certain definitions to assist with interpretation of the bylaw.

Anyone who has questions about the new LUB can contact the Village Development Officer at 403-756-3379.
