Your Village – Your Vote

Voting Information

Election Day is Monday, October 16, 2017.  The Stirling voting station will open at 8:00 a.m. and will be open continuously until 8:00 p.m.


Voter Identification

Voter Identification is required by all voters.  Each voter must produce one piece of identification that establishes both the elector’s name and current address.  Information on acceptable forms of voter identification is available here.

Voter Eligibility

You are eligible to vote if:

  • you are 18 years of age or older
  • you are a Canadian Citizen
  • you have resided in Alberta in the six (6) months immediately preceding Election Day
  • you are a resident of the Village of Stirling on Election Day
  • you have acceptable voter identification
  • you sign a declaration that you meet these qualifications

Where Do I Vote?

Stirling will have one location to vote.   It will be at the Stirling Community Centre.   This information will be advertised well in advance of Election Day.


Local residents are hosting a Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.  It will be held at the Stirling Community Centre.

A listing of the known public forums will be provided.  Forums are not hosted by the Village of Stirling.  They are only listed to provide a service to the public.  If you have any questions about any of the forums, please contact the Organizer.
