Chautauqua 2016 LogoCanada’s Mormon Trail Inaugural Chautauqua is coming to Stirling on Wednesday, August 10.  The Chautauqua Event will run for 4 days  August 10-13, 2016.

What is a Chautauqua?

 It is an educational, cultural arts, religious and recreational event that is coming back to southern Alberta! The Chautauqua is sponsored by Canadian Badlands Tourism and Canada’s Mormon Trial – www.themormontrail.ca  Schedules are now up on the website.

The Towns of Stirling, Magrath, Raymond and Cardston will be showcased from August 10-13th, with each community hosting a day of the celebrations. Click each community to learn more about their schedule!

Live Theatre Production Show Featured Each NightChautauqua - Live Theatre Poster 2016

Check out the world premier showing of “Are We Not All Strangers?” theatre production, which is Volume 1 of a 2 Act Play that will be showing in Cardston at 7pm at the Civic Centre from Wednesday, August 10th to Saturday, August 13th along with a 2pm matinee on the Saturday. Tickets are $10/person and can be purchased through the Cardston Community Theatre website.
Special thanks to those who made this play possible. The script was written by Jonathon Penny, the music was composed by Mark Mitchell and the play is being directed by Mark Easthope and Lori Garner.
