New Community Peace Officer Team in Place
Ridge Regional Public Safety Services Hires Third Member
Continued growth of the regional peace officer program over the last 2 years has led to hiring a third Community Peace Officer. CPO David Sawatzky joins Sgt. Rod Tilson and CPO Todd Nelson as a member of the Ridge Regional Public Safety Services (RRPSS). The regional program is a joint initiative between Stirling, Raymond, Magrath and the County of Warner.
Adding CPO Sawatzky means the region will now have 7 day a week coverage. RRPSS Sgt. Tilson says Sawatzky brings alot of experience in the commercial vehicle side of traffic enforcement. Tilson adds Sawatzky comes from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement program with the Alberta Government.
New RRPSS Phone Number
The growth of the Program also brings about other changes. The initiative now has the need for a common phone number. Sgt. Tilson says the program has added a hub telephone number, 403-715-8513. Tilson says when you call this number it will automatically forward to the onduty Officer. He adds this way as Officers shifts change you will only have to remember one phone number. Tilson says each officer will still have their individual cell phone numbers if you need to reach a specific Officer at any time.
