Limit Water Usage

UPDATE: July 2, 2020 @ 4:15 p.m.

The lift station is back up and operational! We do ask that water use remain gentle. Both pumps are running but still working hard to move all of the water through the system.

Thanks again for being patient while repairs were being completed!

UPDATE: July 1, 2020 @ 10:15am

Even though the rain has stopped and the sun is out, the lift station continues to deal with very high amounts of water. Our Public Works crew will continue to watch and maintain the station today and tonight. Please keep water usage to a minimum for today.

Repairs will begin tomorrow morning and once again, we ask you to restrict water usage to toilets only, and only flush when absolutely necessary at that time.

Not the update we were all hoping for on a holiday, but we hope you enjoy Canada’s birthday and have a great day. Thank you again, for your patience and understanding.

UPDATE: June 30, 2020 @ 10:30am

Due to the amount of rain, the lift station is being over-whelmed. Remember, we are down to one pump! Please, severely limit the use of water in your home.

Continue to monitor the website for updates, or call the Office at 403-756-3379.

*************************

The Public Works crew is requesting those who use the Village of Stirling water to please limit the amount of water they use over the next 24 hours. The lift station is currently down a pump and the pump that is left working is unable to sustain the usual water flow. With periods of heavy rains expected overnight and into the day tomorrow it is being asked that users limit their water intake. This includes:

*showers/baths
*laundry
*dishwasher/dishes

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We will keep you updated as we know more information.
