FCSS – Digital Service Squad
Program background:
The Digital Service Squad is one of two free programs offered through the Digital Economy Program, the other being ShopHERE by Google; small businesses are free to sign up for one or both programs. The Digital Economy Program is administered and funded by Business Link, Digital Main St, and the Government of AB. Community Futures Lethbridge received a grant from Business Link to deliver the Digital Service Squad program to small businesses in our region. The grant covers administration costs, advertising costs, and the hiring of four squad members. The program ends on March 31st, 2023.
DSS:
The DSS program is intended to help small businesses expand their e-commerce capabilities. It is available to home-based and commercial small businesses registered in Alberta with fewer than 50 employees. The DSS provides businesses with one-on-one assistance in setting up SEO (search engine optimization) for their website, developing and implementing a social media strategy, setting up and managing Google My Business, and providing support in setting up a basic website. Eligible businesses will need to complete an online assessment to evaluate their needs, then meet with a squad member to develop an action plan.
Businesses can sign up and complete their needs assessment using this link – Registration | Digital Main Street
