Transfer Station Summer Hours

Three day a week garbage drop off starts again for residents.

The Stirling Solid Waste Transfer Station is now running on the summer schedule with drop off Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Summer hours run from April to October as follows:

Tuesday   4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Thursday 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday  9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Solid Waste Transfer Station is located north of the Stirling Cemetery or one block north of 1st Avenue on 8th Street.

The Stirling drop off location takes residential garbage and tree branches.  There is also a drop bin for metal recycling, a bin for paint recycling and is a drop off location electronics recycling.  The station does not accept construction materials.  Large appliances (white goods) including refrigerators can be taken to the Raymond Transfer Station.  Residents can drop off at any of the Transfer Stations within the Chief Mountain Regional Solid Waste Authority.

The Village also operates a recycling trailer which is located outside of the former SHOP building at 206 4th Avenue. You can drop off recyclables at any time. Recyclables are: plastic milk jugs, newsprint & tin.  *NOTE: Cardboard is not recycled at the trailer.
