Road work will begin next week, Tuesday (July 21, 2020) or Wednesday (July 22, 2020), on 3 Street between 4 Avenue and 5 Avenue. This will be an extensive project involving the removal of pavement and then digging deep to access and replace old infrastructure.

Construction is expected to last approximately six weeks and work below the street should be complete the first week in September. However, this depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to weather, as well as pre-existing conditions underneath the street.

While the existing infrastructure will be replaced this summer, the road will only be re-packed and then allowed to settle (similar to the work that was done along 2 Avenue). Paving and beautification is scheduled for next year.
