Be Prepared – Build an Emergency Car Kit

Drivers should have an emergency kit in their vehicle before travelling, to be prepared for unforeseen incidents such as vehicle breakdowns, poor weather, and traffic accidents. This brochure provides a list of items that can be included in an emergency kit.

What goes into your emergency kit:
– Water
– Food
– First Aid
– Whistle
– Any items that are unique to you (e.g.: medication)
– Sand, salt or cat litter
– Windshield washer fluid
– Tow rope
– Jumper cables
– Fire extinguisher
– Warning lights or road flares

Keep in mind to build your kit slowly. Write down the contents of each kit and keep it in a safe place to review on a regular basis. Click HERE for an emergency car checklist.
