Friendly Reminder for Loose Dogs

Over the past few weeks there has been a rise in the number of loose dogs in the Village.  While the majority of escaped pooches are simply having a fun day out, there have been encounters with more aggressive dogs.  We don’t want anyone (person or animal) injured in any way.  Please help us keep our pets and the public safe:

-          Make sure your dogs are secure and safe while on your property

-          Make sure they are leashed and in your control while out in public

-          If they do get loose (some of them are escape artists!), make sure they have a registration tag with the Village so we can contact the owners and get them back home as soon as possible

A maximum of 3 dogs are allowed per household.  Beginning January 1 of each calendar year, dog licenses renew.  If your puppy is under 6 months old, you do not have to license them; once they are older than 6 months bring them in for some bling!

o   Unaltered dogs are $50 per animal

o   Altered dogs are $30 per animal

o   Get your dog(s) registered before January 31 and save $10 on each registration!
